The MINIFLASH is especially designed for the fully automatic determination of the flashpoint of liquids and solids according to the advanced ASTM D7094 and ASTM D6450 norms.
ASTM D7094 describes the “Standard Test Method for Flash-Point by the Modified Continuously Closed Cup (MCCCFP)”, which offers the highest repeatability and reproducability and delivers excellent correlation to the D93 Pensky-Martens method. Furthermore, test results are equivalent to other norms like Abel and TAG.
Thanks to its unique design the MINIFLASH can be used for more difficult applications like the flashpoint determination of highly polluted samples (diesel in lubricating oil, gasoline in diesel and biodiesel).
The youngest Miniflash model is the Miniflash Touch.
This instrument is standardly equipped with a touch screen and runs fully under Microsoft Windows.
The instrument is equipped with nowadays communication possibilities (USB, Ethernet, PC).

The MINIFLASH FLA/FLAH are equipped with an autosampler for 8 samples.
The “Continuously closed cup” design and the small sample volume of only 2 ml offers maximum safety, avoids dangerous fumes in the testing area and reduces waste. The fast thermo-electric cooling at the end of the test and the easy use of the instrument saves valuable labor time. Furthermore, the instrument is portable making it ideal for use in mobile laboratories.
The MINIFLASH is equipped with an RS232 interface making it possible to connect a printer or keyboard. With the MINIWIN-FLASH software the instrument can be controlled.
